Certified to Test & Install
- Commercial Backflow Prevention Devices
- Dual Check Valves
- Reduced Pressure Zone Valves (RPZ Valves)
A backflow device also goes by the name of RPZ valve. RPZ standing for Reduced Pressure Zone. The device is installed on plumbing systems to protect the public drinking water and the city supply from cross contamination. What is an RPZ Valve? RPZ valves are needed in buildings with irrigation systems, fire suppression systems or large boilers. The valves prevent the backflow of chemicals, stagnant water and bacteria from entering our water supply. The state of Illinois requires the use of an RPZ valve in the plumbing code. All city governments comply with these laws. In addition to requiring a RPZ valve the law also mandates the devices be tested once per year by a licensed professional. Once your valve is tested we submit all the paperwork to the city on your behalf.
